John G. Stenbeck, PMP, CSM, CSP, ACP

Stenbeck, PMP, CSM, CSP, ACP is a Principal at Great PM (GR8PM) living in beautiful San Diego, CA.  His particular value comes from a combined background in information technology (IT), accounting, and operations.  He has the ability to manage large, complex projects to success where others have failed.  John has extensive experience implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems at firms in the aerospace, shipbuilding, and construction industries.

John is an Adjunct Instructor for UC-San Diego's School of Extended Studies, where he teaches project management in the Systems Engineering Certificate program.  As a trainer, he has taught numerous public and corporate on-site programs to over 6,500 students.  John helps technical professionals in the high technology, aerospace, defense, financial services, and bio-pharmaceutical industries master project management and executive leadership skills.

John is certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and by the Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).  Moreover, he has an ITIL v.3 Foundations certification.  John graduated from San Diego State University with a BS in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting.  John also has authored seven nationally delivered training programs.

Bryan Berthot, MBA, PMP, CSPO, CPHIMS, ACP

photo bryan masterWith over twenty years of experience in healthcare and information technology, Bryan Berthot, MBA, PMP, CSPO, CPHIMS, ACP has worked as a systems analyst, database administrator, Extreme Programmer, and project manager.  An accomplished project manager practitioner, he has led software development and business process improvement projects in both the corporate world and in the public sector.  While at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Bryan co-authored a widely cited validation study of the Psychiatric Symptom Assessment Scale (PSAS), a clinical instrument used to evaluate psychiatric inpatients.  Over the past fifteen years, he has managed projects for several healthcare companies, including Ligand Pharmaceuticals, UnitedHealth Group, and Primary Provider Management Company.  Prior to joining GR8PM, Bryan served as President of Berthot Consulting, a firm specializing in corporate trainings, organizational assessments on project management best practices, and agile/scrum coaching.

As a project management educator, Bryan has trained thousands of project managers at the undergraduate, graduate, and corporate levels.  He has taught project management and software classes at the University of Maryland University College Graduate School of Business and Technology, at UC-San Diego Extension, and at many PMI chapters.

Bryan received his MBA from the University of Maryland University College.  In addition to being a Project Management Professional (PMP), he is also a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).

Bryan currently serves as VP of Finance for the PMI-San Diego Chapter and is a frequent speaker at project management events.

Joseph T. Drammissi, PMP, ACP, CSM

Drammissi, PMP, ACP, CSM is a Senior Project Management Consultant living in the San Diego area.  His particular value comes from a wide range of experience in both defense-oriented and commercial organizations, in environments ranging from research and development to manufacturing.  He has worked as a design engineer, systems engineer, project manager, and program manager and is familiar with all aspects of the process from start to finish.  Joe has designed products and systems ranging from oceanographic winches and underwater fiber optic cable deployment systems to solid state commercial lasers, gamma ray scanners, and bomb detection systems.  In addition, he has managed projects and programs producing complex RF subsystems, video exploitation systems, mail scanning systems, programmable power supplies, and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems for use on unmanned aeronautical vehicles (AUV).  He has the ability to manage large, complex projects as well as small, quick turnaround effects.  The companies for which Joe has worked share a business process environment that can be characterized as engineer-to-order (ETO) or configure-to-order (CTO).  Joe also has expertise using Earned Value Management (EVM) in an environment governed by the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs).

An Adjunct Instructor for UC-San Diego's School of Extended Studies, Joe teaches in the Project Management Professional Certificate Program.  He has taught PMP Exam Prep courses for PM8020.com and the PMI-San Diego Chapter, where he is the Vice President of Professional Development.  Joe also has taught corporate on-site project management training programs for the UC-San Diego corporate training department.  Joe is a noted public speaker on various aspects of project management and is currently co-authoring an exam prep book for the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) exam.

Joe is certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds professional certificates in Project Management and Systems Engineering from UC-San Diego.  He graduated from San Diego State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and will graduate from the University of Wisconsin with an MS in Project Management in 2012.
